Anis Waiz

Anis recently joined the firm having previously worked in house as group legal director for a substantial secondary lender and for a number of firms including DLA Piper.

Anis heads up the Litigation Department and brings over 20 years experience in heavyweight commercial and property litigation to the role. He has acted for major clearing banks and a diverse range of lenders.

His specialist practice areas include substantial defended mortgage possession work claims against professionals and claims arising from mortgage frauds. Anis has been involved in substantial claims acting for lenders in recovering assets. In addition Anis has experience in asset finance recovery work acting for a number of major finance companies including title issues and substantial claims under guarantees.

Anis also has a specialist practice area in claims for alteration of the Register before the Land Registry arising from mortgage fraud.

Given his previous in house role Anis has direct experience of the demands of a business as a client and the need to add value to any advice and proposed litigation.
